Black voters are getting tired of politics as usual. We need real solutions to pressing problems like income inequality and violent crime, not meaningless posturing and policies designed solely to assuage white guilt.
" From education to entrepreneurial opportunity, from equity in housing and healthcare to equal treatment at the ballot box and at the bank, Black wealth creation must build upon the solid foundation that what’s good for our Black communities is ultimately good for the American economy, American society, and America at large." -Congressional Black Caucus
The movement towards having a better working environment made technical trades a more attractive field to work in. African Americans can now enjoy the many perks, good liveable wages, benefits, and privileges while working as skilled workers.
Black Owned Businesses create inclusivity within the market and offer the opportunity to create new jobs within their communities and improve the relationships and future outcomes within the Black Community. This also promotes a more inclusive economy by closing the racial wealth gap and aims to increase the capital of the country.
The stigma of mental health isn’t new to the Black community. Martin Luther King Jr. reportedly had severe depression during periods of his life and refused psychiatric treatment, even when urged to seek care by his staff. Unfortunately, that scenario continues to be common today, with African Americans not seeking mental health care because of stigma. We are working to reduce the stigma.
